The mission of The Emergency Management
District is to perform effective emergency management services in accordance
with the State of Mississippi Emergency Management laws and plans; to
implement and maintain an exemplary telecommunications program; to include
an emergency communications system, 911 emergency telephone system and
local government communications support; and to provide an efficient
organizational structure capable of supporting these services; all for the
protections and benefit of the citizens of Forrest County and the City of
Hattiesburg
